“It’s a new era in fashion – there are no rules. It’s all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end, low-end, classic labels, and up-and-coming designers all together.” This powerful quote by Alexander McQueen holds true to many models. It definitely holds true to the model, Lupita Nyong’o. Nyong’s is the new face of Miu Miu fashion.
Miu Miu is a high fashion brand of women’s clothing and accessories from the Prada fashion house. Miu Miu opened in 1993 and is headed by Miuccia Prada. The name of the collection is taken from her nickname.

Lupita Nyong’o was born 1983. She is a Kenyan actress and filmmaker. She made her American film debut in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave (2013), as Patsey. Nyong’o was born in Mexico City, to a Kenyan family, and was raised primarily in Kenya. Her parents are Dorothy and Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o, a politician. 12 Years a Slave gained critical acclaim. Nyong’o received rave reviews for her performance and has been nominated for several awards including a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and two Screen Actors Guild Awards including Best Supporting Actress.

The fashion industry is loving Nyong’s.  This month you can catch the beauty on the cover of W Magazine, and The Fashion Bible. Vogue Magazine calls her one of 2014′s style stars.  The actresses’ poses, full of personality, convey their diverse points of view, effortlessly translating the new spirit of the Miu Miu woman,” the brand stated.

But the Golden Globe-nominated actress isn’t letting her style star status go to her head. “Being considered a fashion star is wonderful,” Nyong’o told USA Today “It’s definitely a bonus thing. It was in no way my agenda when I started.”

Well you have definitely started, Lupita Nyong’o. Keep smiling and shining… We love it and can’t get enough.
