Cold weather fashion trends

by  ealuxe
Winter is around the corner and this season is all about playing around with different winter knits and sweaters! Keep an eye out for winter sweaters that have fuzzy textures or something really unique. I love cashmere-blends; they are perfect for creating that warm appearance. Long sleeved, short sleeved, cardigan or pullover, there are cute sweaters to keep you warm in the coldest weather.

If you want to update your look and make it look more interesting, then just add some jewellery or embellishments. If you want to wear a chunky collar necklace, just make sure that the neckline on your sweater is fairly high because this way the necklace doesn’t rub against your soft skin! I believe that sweaters are perfect for a cold weather; they are cool, chic and trendy.

I adore long sweaters, especially when they flatter curves! I’m sure you’ll find a sweater that suits your style. Don’t be afraid to buy a large sweater, it doesn’t have to be your size! Sometimes an over-sized sweater can be the most fashionable item for winter! If you want to keep yourself warm, you can find lots of cool sweaters that are winter ready, you just have to go shopping! If you love winter and cold weather, you might fall in love with this article! So let’s see what’s trendy!
  • Let’s start with something very simple, casual and elegant at the same time. This is a long sweater that will keep you warm and it will make you look great! You can wear it with a pair of black leather leggings.
  • Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean you can’t wear something colorful! A bright sweater will make you feel happy and you will feel good about yourself, so why not try something like this?
  • This lovely sweater it’s perfect for a cold day, don’t you think so? I can imagine myself wearing it while drinking a hot chocolate!
  • If you love that boyfriend style, then I’m sure this black sweater is perfect for you! You can wear a pair of jeans and some black ankle boots.
  • This is my favourite outfit! Everything looks so perfect; I love the knit sweater and that floral decoration, looks amazing! As you can see from this image, you can wear denim jeans and a pair of English shoes.
  • If you are that cute, delicate girl, then this polka dot sweater was made for you! Just by looking at this peach colour, it makes me feel warm and feminine.
  • This is actually a cardigan but you won’t regret having it on your wardrobe. It looks so fluffy but you have to be careful when you wash it!
  • If you’re that rebel type of girl, then this sweater is for you! I love cut out sweaters, they look so trendy!
  • Another cardigan, I think this one looks amazing and you can wear a simple blouse or t-shirt because the cardigan will be enough to keep you warm.
  • Rock and Roll sweater! If your dream is to be a rockstar but you can’t, then don’t worry! You can still feel like a superstar by wearing this great sweater!
  • The color of this knit sweater is wonderful! If you want to be noticed and feel beautiful, try this one!
  • As you can see, the floral prints are not just for summer! So why not wear a floral print sweater? I’m sure that this sweater is going to make you feel really feminine.
  • Fluffy, fluffy, fluffy! I think this type of sweater goes perfect with a skirt and some ankle boots! (See 1st image) Which colour do you prefer?
  • You knew there had to be at least one pink piece on here, right? So here is the light pink knit sweater! This is so girly!
  • A basic cardigan is a must in every fashionsta’s wardrobe. To mix it up and update the conservative cardigan, opt for bold colours!
  • Cable knits are a classic when it comes to cool weather knitwear. Select a sweater in a bold hue for a surprisingly bright pop of color this season. You can wear a leather jacket for that cool look.
  • Because basics are the cornerstone to any workable and outstanding wardrobe, a traditional round neck red sweater is the perfect layering piece.  Why not buy it?

I hope you enjoyed our article about the Cold Weather Fashion Trends. Let us know what is your favourite sweater in the comments bellow!

Introducing Adrienne of Sweenee Style

It's my pleasure to introduce Adrienne, a fabulous and chic stylista who shows us how to look stylish everyday. Check her out!

Tell us about yourself, who is Adrienne?
I am a wife, mother of 2, daughter, sister, auntie and sort of a shopaholic. :)  I am comfortable in my own skin and I try to find many ways to express myself.  I love shopping, photography, making earrings, and just hanging with family!   I am probably the most loyal person you will meet.  I'm just saying, I could have been in the mob, lol!  I am a firm believer in karma and  that everything happens for a reason.

What inspired you to start a blog?
I started Sweenee Style to inspire others to "Never take a day off from being stylish".  I really do live by this.  I always try to look my best.  Sweenee Style is dedicated to sharing my personal style, outfit ideas, a little make-up, and helpful hints.  I personally think it doesn’t take a lot of money or designer labels to be well dressed.  I get so sick of seeing black women on social media dressing half naked like video vixens and I just want black women to know THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO DRESS TO LOOK CUTE AND GET NOTICED.

What trends/pieces are you enjoying wearing this fall?
I just love STUFF!  When I say that, I mean boots, earrings, coats, scarfs, ponchos, handbags etc.   I try not to follow the trends because you see that on other blogs.  I try to give
my audience something different to look at.

Anything else?
I've come to realize that blogging is so much deeper than taking pictures and posting them. Bloggers are encouraing people to try different things they usually wouldn't.  I love getting emails from my followers on what they would like to see in a future post, or just ask me general style questions.  Eventhough you see tons of pics of ME on the blog, I really enjoy doing it for OTHERS.

Trends For Fall-Winter 2014 | Women Style

I know you’re looking for the top trends for Fall-Winter 2014, so here’s what we think is in style!
I love autumn days when the sun brings so much peace and the nature is full of amazing colors that make me smile.  Even if this autumn is so generous with us , the winter will come sooner or later, that’s sure. Let’s find out what are the most powerful colors on the next season. Make sure to buy at least two of these for your fall-winter collection.
Here are the Trends For Fall-Winter 2014 collection !
Navy Blue
Dark, intense and classic, navy blue is the new black next season. Want to know which is the next winter’s standout color? The world of fashion has been adapted to this amazing dark blue made famous by the British Royal Navy.  Wear it head-to-toe, as seen at Chloé and Céline, or as a heavy, men’s coat.

Exotic furs
The must-have fur coat for next winter comes straight from the wild in-pop colors with grunge and disco flares. The usual black and white furs were dipped in fluorescent paints and bleached in acid, furs goes two-tone and tricolor.

Next season is about elegance and reinventing various forms. Under the legendary influence of Coco Chanel, who feminized the typically masculine fabric, designers created looks in the carded, flexible material at  Haider Ackermann, Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana.

Checks
From green checks, to blue, red and black plaid, this season the clan beckons as everything from the traditional to the modern appeared printed with  plaids, checks and Scottish tartan. Think grunge at Saint Laurent and masculine at Céline and Stella McCartney for a hint at how designers gave the kilt fabric their own inspirational twist.

Night Owl
Typically a couture embellishment, the ostrich feather appeared for Fall/Winter 2013-2014 in a ready-to-wear version. Soft and light, it punctuated each silhouette with elegance and grace, adding luxury to gowns and separates alike.

Leathery heights
As seen at the fashion shows, leather -coated legs in thigh-high boots and slick stockings is one of the essential trends for Fall/Winter 2014. Suede folk versions and smooth leather .

Grunge
Take a hint of punk, add a little rock, some heavy metal and you’ll have the deliberately grungy appeal of the looks that hit the runway.  Leather, plaid shirts and mesh stockings.

Metallic mesh
Seen at Chloé,Anthony Vaccarello and Paco Rabbanne, a medieval trend has been developed, featuring armor-inspired mesh pieces.  Far from weighing down the look, this mesh delicately dresses the legs and chest, hiding parts of the female body. But it’s revealing others.

Noon By Noor Spring 2014 Collection Review - Blooming Beauties

By Laura Cochran Nay

Lincoln Center was all a buzz after the Noon by Noor runway show by fashionistas and media alike. The cousin designers, Shaikha Noor and Shaikha Haya drew inspiration from their home of Bahrain for this collection. Inspired by The Tree of Life, a natural wonder for its age, beauty and endurance. The Tree of Life is a mystery due to its survival in the barren desert with no known source of water. The designers looked to the natural beauty in the world incorporating botanical elements into their Spring 2014 collection.

Ladylike peplum and midi length pencil skirts showed off a more
 serious side of the designers
Staying true to their previous two collections shown at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Noon by Noor showed their playful and young side as they opened the show to the summer’s hottest song, “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke. Flirty and lively printed separates showed a younger side to this collection known to be loved by front row maven, Solange Knowles. The designers’ ability to mix colors, patterns, and fabrics keeps it contemporary enough for young it girls while wearing the pieces separately will certainly give it some extra longitude for the workplace. They offset the vibrant colors like tangerine and blush with lilac and plum to balance the collection. Funky oversized palm prints in crop tops and jumpsuits gave reference to the Tree of Life.

Playful palm prints in crop tops and separates were all the rage

The collection exuded elegance and femininity with embellished silks and chiffon rosette appliqués. The attention to detail was overwhelming in person. Lace mixed with leather added even more luxury to the collection creating the perfect balance of sporty and sophistication.
Embellishments and chiffon rosettes in bold colors like tangerine
 and navy ended the show

Noon by Noor took everyone by surprise when they delved into eveningwear with a show-stopping gown fit for a ball. Covered in chiffon rosettes of ivory and navy, this two–piece gown created a frenzy of camera flashes. Referencing their playful side once again, their ball gown was trendy enough with a cropped top. The hair and makeup was pristine and ladylike with perfect waves topped off with fresh faces.

This Spring 2014 collection by Noon by Noor is sure to continue the designer duo’s catapult to stardom.  It struck the perfect balance of timeless chic and trendy must haves that will be seen all over come this spring.
